Groups Do I need a Nights Away Permit/Going Away License? Ideally a leader within your pack will have a Nights Away Permit/Going Away License, but if that isn’t the case you can still come to ORIGIN. You will need to contact us. We may be able to help you identify a permit/license holder, or provide someone from the ORIGIN crew to act for you. Read more »

Crew Will you need help with build and take down? Yes, we will be after help with both the setting up and the packing away of the Jamboree site. More information about this will come in September. We don’t charge any extra for build or take down week and provide full catering. Read more »
Crew How do I sign up to be part of the ORIGIN Crew? We will start accepting ORIGIN Crew bookings soon via our booking system. Payment of your crew fee will be due at the time of booking. Read more »
Crew I want to come and help as ORIGIN Crew but can’t stay the whole week… We have two crew packages available. Residential package (£80) This includes free issue kit, scarf badges and all your catering while you are with us (no matter how many days you attend/camp). Crew I’m a young leader, can I attend as ORIGIN Crew? Yes, young leaders over the age of 14 can attend either with your group, or you can apply to join the ORIGIN Crew and support the teams. Please also see Will I be able to choose my role? for the types of role you could take on. Read more »
Groups Will there be fridges and freezers? We can’t provide fridges and freezers for groups to store food in, but we will provide shared freezers to allow ice blocks to be chilled down. Read more »
Groups Where do we get food from? There are many supermarkets in the local area. If you have your own transport on site you will be able to leave and go shopping, or you can arrange to have supermarket deliveries to the site. We will also have a small shop on site selling essential supplies (bread, milk, washing up liquid etc). Read more »
Groups Do I need to bring my own kitchen equipment? Yes, you will need to provide your own kitchen equipment, tents, tables and chairs. There will not be any mains electricity supplied to individual sites, so any cooking equipment will need to be gas. We will not allow any fires/naked flame cooking equipment on the subcamps, and petrol generators are not allowed on site. Read more »
