Handbook Category: Bookings

As a leader, you can access different parts of the system. You can navigate these different parts using the menu bar on the left of the screen (on mobile, click the icon in the top right first).

My Profile

My Profile is where you can edit your own personal information. The system will display a message for each tab which you've not yet filled in. When updating your information, please ensure you click the "Update" button, otherwise the system may not capture your data fully.

Groups

On the groups tab, you can manage your group(s). Click the pencil icon to view and edit your group details.

The group information tab contains information about your group, including the name. This can be edited.

The young person information tab is where you can add and edit young people's details. The icons on this page will turn green as their information gets filled out. By clicking the pencil icon and scrolling to the bottom of the page, you can resend the parent/guardian link.

The leaders tab will display the leaders assigned to the group; you'll get an overview of how their details are being filled out, but no access to view or edit these details. These leaders need to sign in and edit their own.

The finance tab displays the costs added to your booking, as well as any payments relating to the booking. The payments are added manually by the Kernow team, so they could take a little while to show up after you've paid.

As Crew

You can edit your own details in Scouts EMS - just log in using the button at the top of the page.

As a unit leader

You can edit your own details in Scouts EMS - log in using the button at the top of the page.

On the left, you'll be able to select and edit your group's details, or by clicking 'My Profile' you can amend your own.

As a parent/guardian

You will have been sent a link by the Scouts EMS system. Can't find the link? No worries - ask your unit leader to resend the link to you.

Once you've clicked the link, you'll be able to view and adjust the information we're holding for your young person.

There will be a Cubs and Brownies day at Kernow 2025 - our focus is on the main jamboree at the moment, but we’ll get information out on our Cub and Brownie day as soon as we can. Make sure to follow our socials for all the updates.

Scouts EMS is a web application which we’re using to handle our bookings.

For you, it means that you get 24/7 access to your data; for us, we get a far better booking system with more data, which means our efforts can go back into running the Jamboree.

Head to our bookings page to sign up for Kernow 2025 - you'll need to sign up as a leader. Once you've been approved by the Kernow crew, you can add young people straight from the booking portal. It'll ask you to confirm the parent/carer's email address, and it'll send them a link to manage their young person.
